This is a Catholic monument located in the Portuguese town of Almada, overlooking Lisbon. It was inspired by the Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and was inaugurated in 1959.

In the 3 years and 10 months during which the Bosnian city of Sarajevo was under siege, this tunnel was the only route through which to bring supplies into the city. Hence the name, the tunnel of hope.
